Deepesh comes with over six years of experience working at the intersection of climate policy and impact, and environmental science research and analysis. Prior to working at NRDC India, he worked as an Environmental Consultant in California, managing comprehensive research, analysis and implementation of Environmental Policies and Regulations, and Impact Assessments for Private and Public sector development projects.
Deepesh’s work at NRDC India involves research and analysis on new and emerging renewable energy technologies, related public policies, and implementation across relevant sectors in India. His work also focuses on access to clean and climate-friendly technologies across Indian villages, with the aim to improve the lives and livelihoods of rural and farming households.
His formal education includes a Masters in Marine Biology from US, and a Bachelors in Biotechnology from India. He has enjoyed a wide-ranging experience in the field of Environmental and Climate Science across Academic Research, Private Consulting, and US State Government Agencies.
A firm believer of collaborative and multi-disciplinary work, Deepesh believes in working towards integrating and implementing environmental and climate science as well as research and technology into actionable solutions in the form of public policy and regulatory frameworks.
