Rana comes with over a decade of diverse experience having worked with government agencies, civil society organizations and consulting firms in the clean energy and climate space. Prior to joining NRDC India, Rana was leading The Climate Group's government relations and subnational engagement work where he worked closely with several states both domestically and internationally. His role involved working with regional governments, think tanks and philanthropies to expand the global Under2 Coalition in the South Asia region.
Prior to that, Rana worked with Xynteo, a Nordic management consulting and advised businesses on clean energy opportunities in India's commercial and industrial sectors. He also worked with Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation where he supported their industrial energy efficiency grant portfolio. Rana has also worked at the Department of Environment, Government of Madhya Pradesh where he assisted them with capacity building and project management activities.
Rana has a Post Graduate Degree in Environmental Management from Indian Institute of Forest Management, Bhopal and a Post Graduate Diploma in Environment Law and Policy from National Law University, Delhi.
