Sachin is an Architect and Sustainability Consultant with over five years of experience advancing low-carbon and energy-efficient building design. His work focuses on climate-responsive and high-performance building design, sustainable cooling, thermal comfort, and evidence-based policy intervention. Driven by a belief in working at the intersection of design, data, and policy, he seeks to enable systemic transformation toward sustainable, low-carbon, and climate-resilient built environments.
Prior to joining NRDC India, Sachin worked with GKSPL on the EU Switch-Asia–funded Building Energy Efficiency in Nepal (BEEN) project, where he led a national baseline study on operational energy consumption, facilitated multidisciplinary design charrettes, simulation studies, and conducted building performance monitoring. His work further includes implementing affordable cool-roof solutions for social housing and formulating municipal building bylaws that informed broader national and provincial policy frameworks.
Additionally, he specializes in developing technical knowledge products and delivering energy-efficiency training for municipal engineers and building-sector MSMEs. He holds an M.Tech in Building Energy Performance from CEPT University, Ahmedabad, and a Bachelor of Architecture from IET Bhaddal, Punjab. He has also presented his research at the international Comfort at The Extreme (CATE) conference.
