Swapnil is a transport planning and sustainable mobility professional with extensive experience in electric mobility policy, infrastructure planning, and implementation at the national, state, and city levels. He specializes in EV charging infrastructure design and deployment, battery swapping network planning, fleet electrification, and the development of enabling policies for zero-emission mobility. His work bridges technical, policy, and stakeholder engagement domains, supporting governments, utilities, and private sector partners to accelerate EV adoption.
Swapnil began his career in sustainable transport with Rocky Mountain Institute, where he worked on flagship initiatives across Indian cities to accelerate EV adoption. His work includes designing public charging and battery swapping networks, developing tender documents, conducting grid impact assessments, and supporting the implementation of government EV policies.
Swapnil holds a Master’s degree in Transport Planning and Modelling from Newcastle University and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Coventry University, both in the United Kingdom. He has also briefly worked as a consulting civil engineer, contributing to projects in the infrastructure sector.
